Peter Cincotti

Peter Cincotti, the 22-year-old singer-songwriter-pianist became one of the hottest sensations to hit the scene in 2003, when his self-titled, critically acclaimed debut CD hit the top of the Billboard charts. In September 2004, Peter's second CD On The Moon, received rave reviews from critics across the country; The New York Times declared Peter "one of the most promising of singer-pianists of the next generation." Peter has since been on tour thrilling audiences around the world. He has sold out shows throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia, and received his first gold record in France.

Born and raised in New York City, Peter started playing piano at the age of three. He began writing music at the age of nine, and started singing in his early-teens. While still in high school, Peter was honored in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest and was invited to perform at the White House. He also won a coveted award at the 2000 Montreux Jazz Piano Competition in Switzerland.

Peter had a featured role in the Lions Gate film "Beyond The Sea," directed by and starring Kevin Spacey. Spacey offered him the role soon after seeing Peter perform in London.

In 2005, Peter caught the eye of men's fashion powerhouse, Ermenegildo Zegna, which chose him to be the new face for their suit collection in 2005/2006.

Peter's next album will be released in mid-2006.

"Live In New York" features musicians Barak Mori (bass), Scott Kreitzer (saxophone), and Mark McLean (drums). Extended string, percussion and horn sections accompany them on numerous songs.
